WPA2 was standard for over a decade but has known weaknesses (like handshake captures). Upgrading to WPA3 secures corporate access points.
1. WPA3 Improvements
- Simultaneous Authentication of Equals (SAE): Replaces the vulnerable PSK key handshake. SAE uses a secure key exchange protocol that makes captured handshakes immune to offline dictionary attack guessing.
- Forward Secrecy: Even if an attacker somehow guesses a session key, they cannot use it to decrypt older captured traffic sessions.
- Enhanced Encryption: Enforces 192-bit cryptographic strength suites for enterprise nodes.
2. Configuration
Enable **WPA3-Personal** or **WPA3-Enterprise** inside your access point parameters to secure connections.
